The Smith-Cotton Instrumental Music Department is a prospering and growing department.
Currently there are 120 instrumentalists involved in some aspect of the music program. At Smith-Cotton
High School, approximately 1200 students, in grades 9-12, have the
opportunity to participate in a wide variety of music ensembles. The high school has two concert bands, two jazz bands,
a marching band, and a string orchestra. Smith-Cotton has enjoyed a rich history in music with such graduates like Eugene
Watts, founding member of the Canadian Brass.
